In 2016, CU СÀ¶ÊÓƵ welcomed Julien Denaes as one of its Global Entrepreneurs in Residence (GEiR), a program that embeds international, experienced entrepreneurs in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the campus and the city.

In his year as a GEiR, Denaes, a native of Switzerland, mentored dozens of CU СÀ¶ÊÓƵ students across a range of disciplines, developed innovative programming for the burgeoning Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative and launched his own company, Alpin.

GEiRs rotate through the program annually—Denaes has already finished his year— but their impact on СÀ¶ÊÓƵ’s students and community will be long lasting.
