Meredith has been named a Philanthropic Education Organization (P.E.O.) Evelyn K. Aitken Named СÀ¶ÊÓƵ. The P.E.O. СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Awards (PSA) were established in 1991 to provide substantial merit-based awards for women pursuing doctoral degrees in the U.S. and Canada. Of the 85 doctoral students selected as P.E.O. СÀ¶ÊÓƵs in 2015, the 13 most outstanding scholars were chosen for named or endowed awards. The $15,000 Evelyn K. Aitken Named СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Award will support Meredith's dissertation research on the politics and geopolitics of natural resource extraction and governance in Namibia.
