Please join me for this year’s university commencement ceremony, Thursday, May 8, at Folsom Field. Imagine how much it means to our graduates to see their teachers and mentors at commencement, sharing in their joy and celebrating their success. Your presence is a powerful affirmation of their hard work and a memory they will cherish. It's also a vital part of what makes our university community so special.

Join our academic procession
Join our academic procession and share in the excitement of commencement! Be part of a time-honored tradition as we, the faculty, proudly lead our graduating students from Norlin Quad to Folsom Field.Ìý

• Please assemble under the faculty standard in Norlin Quad.
• The procession departs Norlin Quad at 8 a.m.
• For public safety precautions, the procession will pass through security screening before entering the stadium.

Witness degree conferral with academic leadership
Process into the stadium together and sit in front of the doctoral candidates. Having you join the chancellor, provost, deans and vice chancellors as a witness to the conferring of degrees on the Class of 2025 is a public acknowledgment of all you have done to help your students succeed.

Rent or purchase academic regalia by Thursday, March 27
For all information on renting or purchasing regalia, pickups, returns and more, please visit the faculty information page on the commencement website. Regalia is required to participate in the commencement ceremony.

Your role and involvement in commencement mean a great deal to our students, their families and the entire campus community. And, to me, too.
